Levitra
Levitra is the brand-name for Vardenafil from Bayer. It
is a new tablet-based oral treatment for erectile dysfunction, recently licensed
for prescription. Levitra has proved successful in clinical trials and is an
alternative to Viagra and Uprima. Bayer recommends that you take Levitra 26-60
minutes before sexual activity. Levitra achieves its effect in as little as 25
minutes or up to 4-5 hours after ingestion.
Levitra is a medicine that may be used up to once a day
to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).
Levitra is for use by prescription only. Men taking nitrate drugs, often used to
control chest pain (also known as angina), should not take Levitra. Men who use
alpha-blockers, sometimes prescribed for high blood pressure or prostate
problems, also should not take Levitra. Such combinations could cause blood
pressure to drop to an unsafe level. The most commonly reported side effects are
headache, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. Men who experience an erection for
more than four hours should seek immediate medical attention. You should not
take Levitra if your doctor determines that sexual activity poses a health risk
for you. Levitra does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
